I have helped many international and Yucatecan students apply to colleges in the U.S. and around the world.
Applying to college in the U.S. or abroad is an entirely different process than applying to university in Mexico. 

There is a game plan, a logic, a campaign of applications, essays, SAT & TOEFL tests, letters of recommendation, grade transcript preparation, and application packet preparation.  
Do not despair!  There is a timetable to do this-- and we get it all done.

Plan ahead   Start early.  It is best to start thinking about college abroad whilst you are in segundo de prepa.  At the latest, you should start your preparations in the summer before you begin tercero de prepa.

However, I have helped students apply to colleges at later dates, and it can be done.
